It doesn't burn fat, or not any more than any other food, but it's a nutrient dense low cal food, so it's a good addition to any diet. And yes, grapefruit and grapefruit juice affects an awful lot of drugs, far more than almost any other food. Read the insert in your pill box, and ask your doctor to be sure.
