    Got 09 today.

Apparently my game "isnt ready for offline mode". I have a dodgey connection at best here so having to be online to play it is a killer blow.

    Can anyone help?

You don't have to be online to play football manager. There is a "go offline option on steam.

You're saying that Steam is saying "isn't ready for offline mode", it's probably trying to update the game. Is it downloading when you turn on Steam?

A third option is that you have finished the authentication process.

    No problem boss.

You can cancel the updates if you don't them. You don't have to get them, although it is highly recommended.

actually you have to log into steam at least once after installing and activating the game in order to be able to 'activate' the offline mode (it used be that you had to boot up the game when online so they could verify the copy etc., not sure if it still is), and you'll find you'll probably have to log in then again periodically if you play it through steam.

He's already activated the game. He also said he can go online just can't download massive updates etc.

You may be right about the logging in once a month or something, but that shouldn't be too much a problem. Or could be...:pac:

Steam. It stamps all over those who don't have the internet :(
