VB script redundancy

Hi, I am currently finished wrighting a script for vb to connect to ldap get all the computer names and services running on the computers...My question can some one show me some code or point me in the right direction if a PC is offline...Cause this causes one big error and the script to finish... have you tried pinging the machine first? there is the Win32_PingStatus class and Icmp* API.

How to ping an IP address with Visual Basic by using ICMP

assuming you run a script on the computer in domain.
