Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This is a brief note from your friendly moderator.

The title of this post reminds you not to quote photographs within the thread.

Anyone who does it from here on out will get a 4 day ban from photography if I am the one who winds up editing the post. The rules are in the OP and they are in the title. Please don't even consider claiming you didn't know.

    KylieWyley banned for 4 days.

Note to users: there are rules in this thread. Please do not ignore them. It is not fair on those with dial up or slow midband connections.

Not a great photo but worth displaying for what must surely be one of the most unusual plaques on display in Dublin:

Efla that is one of the most beautiful photos (the 2nd one) I've ever seen on-line. Stupendus, clever and simply gorgeous. (Pain in the belly pose?).

My uncle owns the black and white farm house directly across from it, so all that land marked "Private Property: Do not enter" is his.... ergo, you were trespassing on his land! hehe, he won't mind though, every1 want tries to get a closer look @ this great castle. don't blame 'em! nice captures!

It was sooooo dark, I must have overlooked the "Private Property" sign;)

But I will ask for his permission the next time, coz I want to take some more pictures of that place.

I didn't use any filters at all, and its not a HDR, in fact, I'm so lazy, I didn't process the pics at all. All pics are outofcam-. Focus is bit soft I know, but thats because, I only had the not so great, 18-200 zoom with me that night, not my wide angle Tokina.

    Ooooops, just sawKylieWyley is banned........Soooooorry

Thanks Burnt. Not sure of the question though.
    Camera is a Canon A-1.
    Film was ISO200.
The photograph is of a body under a cover. It's from a collection I'm gathering. The project was to take 3 weeks in total but I'm going to run with it until the collection is a 100%. So however that long takes. That's one of 150 snaps from 12 locations. I popped that up on here as it was the least one I'm sure of in the collection and at the moment I haven't a home for it. But I liked it on it's individual merits. I'll be back to take it again but will use different setting next time.

We spent a lovely few hours on the Ile Sainte-Marguerite outside Cannes recently. Took a photo of this seagull but I later realised that he is in the background of at least 20 of my photos taken from different viewpoints. He just sat there for hours.

Sorry for the confusion humberklog; on second reading I was more than a bit vague, I ment what type of film are you using; Kodak Ultra, Fuji Superia etc...

No, I mean the "my photo's in black and white so that makes it arty and immediately better" fad.

Go on.. are you saying that black & white shooting does inherently improve a photograph?
