Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Bit harsh. Should have buried the header fair enough but he's playing up top on his own against arguably the best centre half pairing in the world and he's causing them serious problems.

I think scholes aint playing right but Carrick is also off the boil and his performance is being masked currently by what scholesy is doing.

bit harsh alright, think he's doing very well, unsettling presence and looks likely to score

Maicon is running amok up that wing

Utd will let in a goal unless they get some more control over the game. Fergie needs to change things at half time. I was more confident before the game than I am now.

As are Ronaldo, Berbatov and Rooney

This is game is so ****in tense. Some of the passing from united has been shocking. Never kicked on from that great start. Have been standing off inter too much. Also where the hell is giggs playing. It sure as he'll ain't left mid we have had no one out there until Rooney was moved.

Also €10 on vidic at 22-1 for first scorer. Boo ya!!!

United are playing a very dangerous game.
After a very promising start they have let Inter back into it by sitting off them and letting them attack.
Scholes is having a nightmare and Rooney isnt far behind him.
They should have gone for the throat like Liverpool did last night.
United are playing like a team full of fear to concede an away goal.
The United of old would have this tie finished by now.

Dont see any changes yet from United. Expect a change for Inter based on the managers. Hopefully Fergie has the hairdryer on full blast.

Passing has been awful worst of the season , giggs, scholes, carrick, berba , ronaldo none have turned up. We are giving them the ball and by doing so chances. it started with the final ball and now the whole team is messing up simple passes. really hope they get some coffee into the dressing room.

    Park to solve that problem.

What's up with utds passing ? Some of it has been totally woeful, Scholes has been especially dodgy, and they certainly aren't gettin as much space as they have been in the last 1/3.

For a long spell they had lost the battle for midfeild, fergie gonna have to change it up at half time, he seemed to move Rooney out to the left but I don't know if that will have the desired impact. Also, maicon seems to be jumping on Evra every time he smells the ball on that left wing.

Just hope they don't try and sit on the lead, but after past experiences I'm sure Fergie will go for the jugular!

    Vidic outstanding as usual.

A bit worried as to weather JOS can handle Balotelli now that hes on his final warning...

Also funny listening to that muppet Andy Grey, eating his words about Zlatan.

Jesus, I wish I had the confidence that Giles and Ronnie Whelan have, they reckon milan have had there chances and blown them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,435 ✭✭✭✭redout

Looking at the replay from about 4 different angles and I dont think O'Shea could have got the ball to Berbatov anyway without being intercepted as there was a defender (think Cordoba) charging in in front of Berbatov. Certainly the replay looks like it would have been intercepted.

If you had their confidence that would mean you would think like them and thus be similar to them. Don't wish that upon yourself Aquos76. You're better than that son.

Muntari warming up so looks like a change is coming.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,155 ✭✭✭juvenal

LOL @ Mourinho signing autographs for the Utd fans beside the dugout after halftime.

It will need a much improved second half performance from Utd to go through.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,789 ✭✭✭nicklauski

United will be there own downfall unless they get the finger out.
And nice one on the bet alan!
Inter too much space in defensive areas, United should be closing down quicker.

Inter substitution: Viera is off for Muntari at halftime

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,789 ✭✭✭nicklauski

Viera off, Muntari on. Should free up the space were Viera was, because I cant see him chasing back to much if he plays anything like the first leg. Left an awful amount of space for Ronaldo to run into. Hopefully he does it again :D

Anyone else think Cambiasso is a lovely player. Always has been. Tough in the tackle and classy in possession, he'd be a vital part of any top European team in my opinion. Goal. Yes!

That is CLASS - credit Giggs for that goal. What a ball from Rooney, but Giggs did brilliantly to recover a loose touch and make the break.

Good play by Rooney and a good run and header by Ronaldo, but surely Berbatov has to be considered interfering with play where he was standing?

The keeper has to keep an eye on him.
