Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's actually a hilarious scoreline at this stage. Bears little or no relation to the flow of the game.

    It's all mind games!!

    Fergie's got a plan, ' you play ****e so they won't suspect'

So Rafa gets his tactics messed up.

You know, its never occurred to me that scoring goals was the only thing that defined how well you played.Ronaldo one of the best players on the pitch then?

    Brothel spelled like that btw

Ibra summed up by the BBC

This must be torture for a man of Zlatan Ibrahimovic's self-assuredness. He just cannot hit a barn door tonight. First he fails to meet a cross at the back post, letting it hit his body instead of heading it and watching the ball trickle away for a goalkick, before lashing another woeful shot miles high and wide.

Unlike Rafa, Fergie tells his strikers to score goals rather than defend right back :pac:

    Someone should tell Rooney then.

    PS.I'm an United fan

If Ibrahimovic played for United or Liverpool or Chelsea or Arsenal, with that shíte record of never having scored in the CL knockout stages, he'd be fúcking slated all over this forum.

    And rightly so.

He's living off a name he made for himself six or seven years ago.

He may be good in the Serie A, but that means fúck all.

    He's shíte.

    Pure and simple.

All the fancy touches and flicks in the world don't matter a ****.

    Maybe I should've added successfully :P

Also, I saw a guy in a yellow top and black shorts running up the pitch and I was 'wtf are you doing Van Der Sar??' until I realised it was the ref :o

Another Ibra bashing on the Beeb

"Do I need to watch Serie A to understand all the hype surrounding Ibrahimovic? I can't understand it, he looks completely average to me, I'd rather have Dirk Kuyt in my team and I'm a Man U fan. Think that shows how low the impression the 'Mercurial Swede' has made to me!"

Second night in a row that I've seen the best player on the losing team. Maicon has been brilliant, all over the park.

    Park is an awesome player.

Honest as the day is long, and he's great to have there, relieving the pressure.

He's one of my favourite players in the world at the minute

Typical of the modern day footballer, full of pace, work rate and self sacrifice but has no skill and can't pass.

United break the duct of the current champions going out at the last 16 stage

    Bring on liverpool....

Having seen him in action a number of times, i agree completely. Its no coincedence Ferguson rates Park so highly. His closing down, stamina, and awareness of space is incredible. He might have 2 touches all game, but the job he does is as important an any. Fantastic to have in the team, and a real favourite at OT.

The differnece tonight is simple one team took there chances, while one team didn't. With that United got a fair chunk of luck tonight, but I think most would concede that Inter got a fair chunk in the first leg. Over the two legs United deserved to go through but I think we will need play better in the next round.
