New to html

I have a project due soon.Id like to add a few unique features for my website so it will stand out.Lets say i have 5 differents sections one with my hobbies or something etc.Can any of ye think of cool features to make my website look good.Any examples would be much appreciated.

The best advice that I can give when it comes to HTML is to keep is clean and simple.
I'd recommend having a look at something like this to compliment XHTML skills that I assume you already have -

I was using w3schools but im asking people to give me unique features they know of or have found on other websites.

...mmmm I'd have to agree about keeping it simple, but if not what about http://script.aculo.us/ - it takes good JavaScript / CSS knowledge - so if that's daunting maybe go with the clean and simple advice....
