Vast Left-Wing Conspiracy

Seems a new Vast Left-Wing Conspiracy exists. (Unlike Clinton’s hypothetical Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy, this liberal group is for real.)

Every morning officials from more than 20 labor, environmental and other Democratic-leaning groups dial into a private conference call hosted by Progressive Media, a project of the CAP Action Fund and the Media Matters Action Fund, at what’s referred to as the "8:45 A.M. call." It’s a new level of coordination by the White House’s allies.

Looks like Rush Limbaugh coordinated bashing was their first priority.

Seems there’s a coordination of efforts in attacks on critics and exposing the people who are trying to come out against our nation’s march to socialism.

    Viva La Revolution!

Conspiracy? Isn't there a forum on boards for such things? Perhaps this thread should be transferred over to that forum?

    ********

In essence there's a so called conspiracy to paint Rush Limbaugh as a conservative Republican? Almost everyone knows of his conservative Republican bias, so where is the conspiracy? For example...

A month after Bill Clinton's defeat of George H.W. Bush in 1992, Ronald Reagan sent Limbaugh a letter in which he thanked him "for all you're doing to promote Republican and conservative principles..."

When the Republican Party won control of Congress in 1994, one of the first acts by many freshmen (calling themselves the "Dittohead Caucus") was to award Limbaugh the title of "honorary member of Congress" in recognition of his support of their efforts during this period.

It's not just Democrats that are critical of Limbaugh. The Republican National Committee Chairman Steele criticized Limbaugh for his inflammatory speech...

Even Republican National Chairman Michael Steele joined in with a surprising critique of Limbaugh as a mere “entertainer,” who is “ugly” and “incendiary.”

    Source: http://www.ajc.com/news/content/news/stories/2009/03/04/democrats_and_rush_limbaugh.html

On CNN over the weekend, Steele criticized Limbaugh, calling him incendiary, ugly and nothing more than an entertainer.

An alternative explanation to the conspiracy theory of this thread would be that Rush Limbaugh and Michael Steele were observed in a public feud, and the Democrats saw it as an opportunity to show how people known to speak for the Republican party were fighting among themselves? Ergo... no conspiracy, just spin.

"Just when I thought I was out... they pull me back in"

This is what you do to me PJ when you post nonsensical posts like that.

Kinda like the media coverage that went on during the Bush Administration. It starts with Terror Alert: ELEVATED and trickles its way down the bowl of the toilet.

    "Is that a Bulletin?"

In short, you can't tell me the Republicans aren't guilty of the same thing.

Glad to drag you back into the fray jank... missed your posts balancing out some of my rants ;). Curious though, why do you consider my post about political groups coordinating attacks against republicans as being nonsensical? (yet when someone comments that a single days jump in the stock market is testament of Obama’s success, you remain silent).

What a horrible, nasty thing to say (I'd then have to be resonable)... what have I ever done to you? ;)

(I'm familiar with the mans bluster and double standards. It really would do everybody a lot of good if he just shut up.)

Everytime I read this out loud in my head, a Wart shows up on the back of my hand ;)

If there was really a conspiracy against rush someone would set fire to his studio or something. He was in the middle of saying something the other day when all of a sudden it just switched to Dead-Air though...

    <_<

    >_>

I actually saw that post and didnt reply because my thoughts on it were replied already. But you are right though. I tend to ignore the "Obama is God" type of posts as those posters dont really have a clue. But you are obviously keen on politics and know your stuff so I find it strange that you should come up with so many radical conclusions. Hence my posts. Kind of like a lightning rod.

Thanks, can't argue with your logic there.

That's a lot of "irony?" (Reminds me of what I have to do with my 100% cotton white blouses after washing)

Wording in many ways similar to that found in this thread? The only "Conspiracy" was in the title?

I wish people would quit misusing the term irony. I blame Alanis Morisette.
