    Hi all,

We have a bizarre problem with our power shower a Triton Power Shower Thermostatic. The shower will work for approx 5-7mins then after the water just stops. The shower is still pumping and still making the same noise as before, maybe a little louder but that is just down to no water coming out and masking the noise. Called a plumber out and he thought it was emptying the tank upstairs and it was not refilling as quick. He serviced the ballcock and the problem still persisted and there was still loads of water in the tank when the shower cut out. We also seen a dribble of water come down the hot water pipe when the shower cuts out the water.

The shower will work again a short time later. The plumber advised us to order a new Solenoid Valve assembly for this (Triton part number - 82300430)

Soon as that arrives, tomorrow I will replace it. Just wanted to know if anyone else has come across or had this problem themselves?

    Thanks in advance,
    Barrie & Ange

Try unscrewing the shower head pipe from the control box and then run the shower. If the water flows without any restriction then the rubber liner inside the flexible shower hose is perished and is collapsing, shutting off the water. It's a common fault and is cured by simply buying another flexible.

    Hi ART6,

Do you mean the flexible hose connecting to the shower box itself, which has the shower head on the end? If so I have already tried this and this does not remedy the problem. Any other suggestions ART6/anyone?

    Cheers,
    Barrie

Is this a relatively new problem? i.e. did the shower work well before or is it a new shower/ house? Is the problem with the cold and hot wateror onlt hot? Possibly hot pipe is connected to vent pipe in attic not below cylinder as it should. Just one maybe, need more info.
