Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi All,

Does anyone have any idea on how to teach a new computer user about file management?

They have only started using a computer in 2009. Is there any manual or website that will clearly explain it?

    Thanks in advance.

you might be able to explain it yourself. Use the analogy of an office that has a lot of different files of various types. Unless they are "filed" away properly in correct filing cabinents / folders and labelled with correct names then it can be v difficult to find a particular file at any time.

Usually the process of creating files and saving them - followed by finding them and opening them reinforces the idea. Good luck.

If using windoze xp, something like this may help.

I always find Wikipedia a good resource for nearly anything. For example, start here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Explorer, read, and follow any links that look like they lead somewhere relevant to what you want to learn.

I applaud you eagerness to get this right OP. So many ppl have a good grasp of the basics such as Microsoft Office but havent a clue where their files are or how to organise them.
