    - What network was the phone on?
    - What network are you on?
    - Has MMS worked on your old phone?

You can go here and follow the prompts to have MMS settings set directly to your phone - http://www.nokia.ie/settings

It should probably be setup already.

Try this just to see if it works on your phone:
Menu > Tools > Utilities > Sett. wizard

See if you have an option to setup MMS.

How old is the phone? What phone is it?

In the message do you have the an option to download the image under the options menu,, might say 'object'

OP try this and see if they can help you. They'll make sure it's setup on your account.
    * Call the Prepay helpdesk on 1850208787
    * Call the Pay Monthly helpdesk on 1907

    Just to clarify again ...
    - can you send MMS?
    - what happens when you send a MMS to yourself - can you open that?

Make sure the MMS settings on your phone are setup to use Vodafone MMS and that they are set to retrieve automatically.
Go to: Menu > Messaging > Options > Settings > Multimedia message
    - Make sure "Access point in use" is Vodafone MMS. Change it if not. (if Vodafone MMS isn't there you'll need to set it up manually).
    - Make sure "Multimedia retrieval" s set to "Always automatic" or "Auto in home netw."

After that you'll need to move ahead to adding the settings to your phone. There's a sticky with the info, shout us if you need help.

Op do you know who you got it from, is it a image file? The n95 should have a problem displaying an image, should do it automatically. If its just displaying a logo it might not be a image. If it was audio it should do the same.

Try going to 'objects' down the 'options' menu in the message. Anything received should be listed their

I reckon it is nothing to do with the MMS setup but rather an object (file) that the phone has no application to handle or a mal-downloaded image/video. You could try saving the object onto your pc to find out more about what it is.

I presume you have no problem browsing/opening the images/sounds/music and video on your phone.
