Im thinking of getting a before BER survey done, to avail of the BER grant when it comes available.

I am renovating an old house, so this is applicable to me.
What I know I can hold off on until the grant comes available are:

Attic Insulation. There is currently none.
Cavity wall Insulation. There is also currently none.

Can anyone tell me what is involved in the heatings control upgrade. I know on the website it says:

    * Minimum requirement of: 2 zones (space and water) with 7 day programmer (time and temperature) control and boiler interlock, time and temperature control of electric immersion heater and either 1 more zone control or 3 TRV's(?)

I have the first phase of the electric wiring on the house completed. There is no electric immersion yet. Can anyone tell me, could I wing the heating controls upgrade? What would this involve. I can hold off on laying carpet up and down stairs so the pipes are accessible and stuff.

    Thanks
