    prob because boards's is gonna crash again...very slow to open threads at the moment...should really start deleting all closed threads to improve performance.
    You just cannot keep adding entries to a table and not expect any issues.
    We see issues with the crap coding our devs use for sql databases.
    One table we found had over 196 million records in one bloody table..quick delete for anything older than 30 days soon sorted that out..not before we had issues though :(

    It's been temporarily disabled while CuLT works on the perfomance issues that are currently affecting the site. There is/was a big announcement at the top of the page about it, unless you closed it without reading it.

    Depends on the database, and how it's structured. Back in the day, we had 250-million-row tables in a db/2 database on an IBM iSeries, and could query any given dataset in less than a second.

    Site is moving ok. Noticed a slow down a couple of days ago i think, but right now it seems fine. My connection is kinda screwed so I don't even notice :)
