Very hard question to answer as i dont drink too kuch guiness. If we are talking about the best pub in town it has to be the square bar or ogormans.

Been checking the pints out in town over the past few weekends, must say def a good standard in Portlaoise. Very hard to say which has the best so far Peigs, The Square bar and Caseys are def the clear leaders. Letheons pint was one of the bitterest i have ever tried with an after taste that would make your eyes water.

Pints wise Bergins is one of the nicest pints your get in Leinster let alone Portlaoise.....

To a good standard are Square Bar ,Peigs and Kavanaghs,

Bernie Keegans has a good pint aswll come to think of it...

Worst would be the Sally gardens always has been still does a great trade as it ain't really a guinness Pub most of the customers drink large bottles of Cider...

Never tried Caseys but am told its decent...

Bergins def the best on town. Got to do with a short draw on the pipes I think.

I think one of the worst is Grellan Delaney, but never was a stout pup more of a larger pub.

    Hi All,

I would imagine you should travel to Humes Bar and try the Guinness. It is by far the nicest, bar none.
