Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Tripods on Ebay

    Anybody got any experience of buying tripods on Ebay?
    I'm looking at lots of different prices from €3.00 to €325 so they can't all be the same quality.
    Any recommendations?

    Look for a secondhand manfrotto 055 tripod, its aluminium well made and steady.
    I was given one that was well worn, and I repaired it by replacing some of the nuts and bolts, all you need is an allen key. Early in the auction, ask the seller if the threads are worn on the head post friction lock;).

    I bought a secondhand manfrotto ball head (488RC2) with a couple of QR plates from a guy in Germany via ebay for 40 odd euros delivered.

    You might have to try a few auctions to get one, but softly softly catchee monkee.
