Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I found this memory stick online, the LG vaccine
I could only find the 16gb version on dabs.ievfor €50 wheras Ocuk have the full range
Before I go and buy this, could someone tell me if there is a anti-virus program you can install on a existing memory stick to prevent malware or virus' being installed on it.
    Cheers

    Al

Plenty I'm sure but I wouldn't worry about anything like that, it's not active and running processes all the time like your Windows partition would be. But just to be safe...

Its for my job, we have a number of engineers out on the road and we all put our memory sticks into hundreds of PC's to collect data after jobs and we don't want to bring a virus or malware back to our server in the office. We have a lot of work in universities and god knows what does be on those PC's with students mucking around on them.

College and university pcs would be locked down as much as possible I'd imagine so you shouldn't have to worry too much in that regards.

They weren't locked down much when I was in college and thats not too long ago. Its the messin around on PC's that I've witnessed (and participated in ) in college is what has me so paranoid.

    Hi there,

I would definatly reccomend some sort of anti virus on any portable HD or memory stick. Lately, I have been keeping a lot of files on mine, and almost every week it gets infected from work and college pc's.

The infection is almost always the "autorun.inf" one, which blocks the drive from being read. Its a pain in the ass, but not too hard to remove!
