Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What are you looking to dryclean?
If it's a wool or cashmere item get something like Dreft or Woolite as regular detergent contains bleach or enzymes that will destroy the natural fibres.

It is silk...That is good to know. I wondered what the point of Dreft was. Thanks Bnagirl

    You're welcome. :)
You can get Persil Wool & Silk which will do the job.

Coming in late on this but this is the wrong advice. If the item is 100% silk (& good quality silk) it will shrink in a normal washer. The basic principle behind dry cleaning is the use of specialist chemical (which you have to be lienced to use) & the machine itself which are specially designed for specific fabric types. It's the same reasoning behind why you can't wash an interlined suit jacket.

You also can't iron a silk item. Well you can but it'll turn out crap. It should be steamed pressed for best results.

Hope you had success with this!
