Is anyone else having trouble with the internet? I heard it was off in certain apartment buildings. Now it's on again here in Avoca, but I still can't get into MSN (it says the computer is not connected to the internet), or Firefox for all that matter. Chrome works though. Earlier I could only use chrome on and off, now it's been working for ten minutes anyway.

I think there's a technical fault on campus. I was in the Rye Hall PACR earlier, and the document I was working on froze. "Curse you, Steve Ballmer!" was the first thing that I thought, but then Firefox crashed. And then the guy watching the place told us they were having problems and to bare with them. That was at 15:22 - I know because the irrecoverable recoverable file was stamped with it. :pac:

There's also a problem with Arts block computers, too. Some (maybe all?) of them think they're running unlicensed versions of Windows. I saw a sign up on Rye Hall saying that they're running maintenance on it tomorrow morning.

btw how do you get sound in the PACRs? I have headphones but it doesn't seem to work

Did you turn on the Master Volume on the taskbar? I noticed that the computers are all muted by default, for some reason.

How long have you been studying Spainsh & you don't know where the noticeboards are? They are located left to Sinead's office (Rm35), or on the wall of Rm 34. You really should check these boards everyday.

Just got an email from my head of department entitled moodle comment and asking (demanding) me to meet him tomorrow.

I'm thinking it's about a moodle rape that I got last sem,ester but I'm freaking out now. Especially because I hate people who moodle rape, always have and then someone went and got me really pissing me off, the lecturer was apparently already giving out about it to another class and now the head of dept want to talk to me?! What?!

I think I'm about to cry...

Is that for Economics by any chance? I know a lad who was called before the Head as well last semester for the same thing. It was a pretty harsh comment in his case though. The worst they will do is probably tell you to write an apology to the whole class on the forum.

I've never understood why you can't delete a comment or edit it past 30 minutes after posting. It would save so many embarrassing things being written on forums

And nope, it was in Law!
Mine just said "I really enjoyed the class on fisting today " but I know thats probably bad enough. I'm meant to be trying to make a good impression on the dept for various reasons and this stupid comment has probaly just f***ed up that chance with two of the most important people that I need. Why am I being punished for something someone else did to me?!

It says that the licence is expired! I emailed the library to get confirmation.
