    Golden semester: achieved.
How much does it say about Lyon that there's nothing else to do except go to lectures?

    St. Etienne?

Well, I've done the whole of the South of France.
But I meant in terms of things which would distract me like people distract me in Maynooth and force me to come for tea when I should be in lectures.

    2 exams :D

(However, one is Calculus. Anyone doing second year maths this year knows why I'm dreading it.)

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,625 ✭✭✭How so Joe

    8 exams... awesome.

What the...!? That's some ridiculous amount of exams. How'd you manage that one?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,195 ✭✭✭✭Michellenman

3 geog, one per module. Aural, written and translation exam for french plus 2 content module exams. Add a thesis in there due in a little over two weeks and you have one hell of a christmas break. I'm so happy right now.

I don't even remember how many exams I had last Christmas.
I do know they made us dress up in suits for our orals in the summer, though. That was weird.

    ...eh, what now?
Yeah, I thought it was weird, but they sent us out a list of pointers, and top of the list:
1: You should dress for the oral exam as if you are attending an interview (smart and formal). This has been requested by the external examiner.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,195 ✭✭✭✭Michellenman

Time to get the fishnets and hoor heels out so.

.... I've only ever interviewed for strip joints.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,810 ✭✭✭Seren_

Not yet. Probably in the next week or two though.

I remember my housemate running around the morning of her oral last year looking for formal clothes because she had none :p such an odd rule to have.
