    It was this story flanum:
    Gun and ammunition recovered in Dublin raid

    Gardaí have recovered a gun and a small amount of ammunition during a search in Dublin today.

    The 9mm pistol and ammunition were found on waste ground near the St Teresa's Gardens area of the city following a planned search at 1pm this afternoon.

    The gun has been sent to the ballistics section at the Garda Technical Bureau for forensic testing.

    It makes you wonder just how many guns are in the hands of criminals! They find one nearly every week now, and it has no effect on the gangland murders. which Also seems to be one a week:(

    Todays Sunday Indo,on a report on the latest gangland killing.
    The criminals now have enough firearms that they can dump the murder weapon at the scene of the crime to prevent being caught.:(
    Gone are the days of renting out the firearms for the post office blag!

    This would suggest yet again 1800 legally held firearms are NOT the problem..Rather the illegally held stuff by criminals and our reemerging terrorist organisations.You would be better advised Minister to concentrate on those people and organisations and their weaponary and leave us alone.We are the vetted and law abiding.
