Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

I would like to start compiling a list of what used cars are selling for. We all know prices are falling in line with demand but what prices are sellers getting and what are we as buyers willing to pay?

Please add your personal experience/knowledge of recently sold cars/vans. Thank you.

    Make/Model
    Year Mileage Price €

    VW Passat Tdi 130 2001 Mileage >100,000 Price 3000-3500

    VW Passat Tdi 130 2002 Mileage>80,000 Price 3800-4500

    Peugeot 307 1.4 Hdi 2004 Mileage >70,000 Price 4800-5000

    Citroen Berlingo 1.9d 2003 Mileage >90,000 Price 2600

Ford Transit SWB 2001 Mileage >100k Price 2000

You'd probably compile this information quicker if you could access the sale prices from an auction site - you'd have hundreds of cars worth of data, instead of the 20 or so you may get here.

That's a good idea but auctions have always been cheaper to buy in and won't give a true value of what everyday punters are paying for their vehicles. There is a huge variation between asking prices and selling prices in the private second hand car market and I would like to get a clear picture of that market. Thanks for your suggestion.

I would like to get a clear picture of that market.

Might I inquire as to why and for what purpose?

Don't worry its not for commercial purposes. I'm curious to find out what the state of market is like, also I'm in the market for a car. I think people would like to now how much a car is worth whether they be buying or selling.
