Recommendation on PC Monitor

I'm looking to spend around €250 - €300 on a monitor for my p.c.

I work from home so I am on the p.c. all day.

I was going to go for a 24" widescreen but would like some general advice on what is important in these screens or specific recommendations...

A monitor I've been keeping an eye on is the Samsung SM2494HS which you can get delivered for around €225 from Dabs:

andy the contrast ratio isnt great on that you need something with 2000-1 at least, the 22" dell is better.
