How long did each rep take you?
I've only tried doing that loop on 1 occasion, been meaning to do a bit more before the WW200

The hill itself took me approx 9 minutes each time, I can't remember how long it took me to get down the other side and back around I'll check out my HRM when I get home from work

My resting HR is in the low 30's, 31 for one or 2 days the other week. Used to be in the high 30's/40 ish until I gave up rowing and started cycling. Got a bit worried over christmas and had an echo done turns out m heart is enlarged, doc says I shold have one done every year to be on the safe side.

How old are you Dan? 226 is extremely high, according to the common 220-age estimation (and it is only an estimation) that would put your birthday some time in 2015. Sure your HRM was accurate?

    folks.

I appreciate that heart rates are a legitimate conversation piece for athletes.

BUT if you have any concerns about an abnormality (perceived or real) discuss this with a RL Doctor.

HRM's always have anolmolys. This is often due to the connection. I had a HR of 226 last week and its was nothing more that not putting enough water on the strap before applying it. If you really interested in doing MAXHR do it 2 or 3 times over a few weeks and see what the results are. They should be fairly close but don't take an outlier apprach saying that i recorder 225 the other day so that must be my MAX HR.

Sound advice, but there appear to be at least two doctors who post here regularly or semi-regularly.

Indeed. I raised the issue of my high RHR (and surprising weight loss) with my GP, and today I'm getting fitted with a Holter monitor and having full range of blood tests done.

Will be interesting to see whether this turns up anything, or whether I'm just a worried-well hypochondriac. :pac:

I have used it alot in the gym and the HR I'm given by my monitor and the machines are identical.

But I agree that it's alot better to do a max HR test a few times that just a single outlier.

    Oh yeah I'm 24
