Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Most of them are probably copyright, so will be protected. If you have the owners permission, he/she can also give you the code.

have owners permision but wondered if it possible to get the code to show up rather than have to get them to send code for each pic individually

I just had a quick look and it seems it's possible to do it manually yourself, by rightclicking on the image and selecting "copy image location" then following the instructions for posting in the sticky.

It seems there is no image protection on pix.ie........

    Hi guys...

We thought making the embed image code visible to everyone as we get far more requests for this than you would think. Bear in mind that a large percentage of Pixie's users want to share their images and want people to embed them and link to them. The photographers on Pixie obviously have a different stance and are concerned about protecting their images.

We notice in particular that bloggers will often copy a photo without permission, post it on their blog and will then sometimes give attribution or link back to it. This is normally a photo of them, or a photo that has been taken at an event or something they are blogging about. We also notice that like all of us bloggers and journalists are lazy. If we supply them with an embed code, they'll use it... and by supplying the embed code, we can direct that usage and ensure that proper attribution is given and links are placed back to your photos.

I know this is not protection, but bear in mind that most photographs that are "stolen" are stolen in low res format, not hi res so the added protection of hiding hi res images is protecting only a very small use case.

We will more than likely make it so that the embed code can be switched on / off in the preferences allowing people to choose for themselves.

Disabling right click is not protection. Its what we call "security by obscurity", which is no security at all. All you have to do is go to the View menu and click "View Page Source" regardless of whether right click is disabled or not...
