Declan Kidney has successfully brought Munster's Heineken Cup winning form on to the national team. This team deserves a major double-decker top bus homecoming and parade, similar to that for the Irish soccer team after the 1990 World Cup.

Go on the Dunner tonight in the ring!! hopefully this win will lift him tonight! great day for Irish sport.

WHAT a game!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!! So close! My heart is STILL jacked!

Unbelievable game! Whatever Kidney said at half time it certainly worked! :D

What a game! Thoroughly deserved by a superb bunch of players, BOD, POC, D Wallace and Hayes were immense today. If that final kick had gone over it would have been a travesty, even the Welsh would admit that.

BOD is a shoe-in for Lion's captain now. POC not too far behind.

Great timing, just what this country needed to give us all a bit more self-confidence.

'Twill be a good night for publicans too of course!

Unbelievable stuff, only getting my breath back now.

Two tries in a minute and Jones missing a kick, unbelievable.

Unbelievable, just unbelievable. What a try from BOD and Bowe.

Fully deserved victory and just a fantastic finish and game. Paddy Wallace is one relieved man:D

what the hell am I gonna do now !!

Its 6am the sun is a blazing 22 degrees and we have just won a GS !!

I will be awake for days , so thrilled. :D

Fair dues to that team and especially BOD.
2 seasons ago his absence was enough to lose the GS in the France game. Now he has been there to guide and lead a great squad thro the whole tourny we get the rewards !!

Shame this year or nex aint a RWC year. Englands historic run to the GS dove tailed nicely to a RWC year......

Extra kudos to DK, not much has changed at all with regard to the players avaialble, hell even the squad selected is not far off but the perfomraces have been !!

    World class!

What a game! A great day for the Irish nation and for Irish sport. As a South African, I can't know exactly how you feel, but I know that you guys really needed this and bloody deserve it.

Enjoy your victory and let's hope that this team can reach even greater heights in the future.

The presenter said that he showed lightning pace in scoring the try, and he replied that the panel in RTE (Hooky) didn't seem to think so. Or something like that.

Yeah that was pretty funny. That game had everything. One of the tensest finishes ever!

I cried, there I said it. And I kissed the tv. And I prayed to BOD.

Brian O'Driscoll deserved this. If he retired tomorrow he would be the greatest player ever to come from this isle and there could be no disputing it.

Hook moreorless said he didn't have the pace for an international player after one of the matches.

Bowe was interviewed after the match and made a comment about Hook and co in studio having no faith!! Not sure of the wording..
