Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wow, how long does it take to download the entire 64GB to a PC ?
I suppose in a few years time cameras will have HUGE file sizes, so.......you will still only get 100 pictures on your small 64GB card.......
Also, imagine using flash (or Solid-state drives (SSDs)) as your hard-drive, VERY fast, power it on & bam its up and running, also VERY expensive.

Of course, there are always 4 things to consider -

The speed of the CF card
The speed of read/write by your camera to the card
The speed of read by your computer of the card
The speed of your card reader to your PC (USB, internal, etc)

Having a fast card alone won't make things faster. Shame about that.

......and the SIZE of the files, a million small files takes a lot longer that say a few large files.

Correct. Having a faster card can't make the camera work faster than it's hardware limited maximum.

Also would not like to lose all images on one of these cards, Like having all your eggs in one basket.

Agreed, I tend to number my cards when shooting and half fill the cards. If I have the laptop with me shooting sports I'll constantly switch cards and keep copying the files over.
