Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

how long is a piece of string? ;)

any modern branded stuff - canon, sony, nikon, olympus, pentax will begood. thereafter it depends on what you want to do with it?

there's a camera choosEr over on dpreview too which might be useful.

    good luck with you purchase.

Measure to the center and multiply by two, simple :)

Op a lot of the kodak compacts are really good value for money and are well specced

I just want the camera to be used for everyday family photos and for going out at night etc, just want the quality to be good enough to enlarge if needs be, Was so happy with a previous fuji 2million pixel camera, and then got a 5million pixel fuji which is just useless.

thanks for the help and I know that these questions are asked a million times over

    How about this:

    http://www.panasonic.co.uk/html/en_GB/Products/Digital+Cameras/Stylish+Compact/DMC-LX3/Awards+%26+Test+Results/1465007/index.html

    DMC-LX3-K_1WebA1001001A08G07A71655C57119.jpg
Has a fast f2 Leica lens which should help night time shots and if you go to that page and look at the awards, it would seem to be fairly well thought of.
