What was the whole gay thing tonight. Is Robert setting Lorrance up or something?

Someone was setting Lawrence up for sure, could be Robert or maybe Bernice as she was going to go take the bull by the horns :p

He "the lad" must have gaydar developed by NASA just to arrive in the ars... middle of Yorkshire and come on to the squire of the manor. If Robert (?) didn't set it up it'll make that story a bit stoopid.

I gave up when Eric drove away in the hearse . I presume they got her buried anyway.

What a pathetic effort of an episode. I know soaps are unreal, but that's takin' the p%s%.

Lawrence was great in that final scene tonight. I'm guessing Robert is behind the set up, but I'm kinda hoping he isn't because him showing genuine compassion for Lawrence means he isn't a complete ratbag of a human being.

Yes Val was but not the whole village , Eric stealing the hearse was too much.

He was superb, I thought. Very credible portrayal of his fear at the thought of being in prison again. I really like Lawrence, I want to see him and Bernice, at least being friends.

I am guessing it's Robert too. I hope he gets found out asap.

Poor Lawrence, I really felt for him tonight. The final scenes tonight were amazing, very strong, my heart broke for Lawrence. I also feel like Robert was behind what happened, and also hope he gets found out, perhaps it could be the catalyst for him being found out about Katy?

Emmerdale in general has been a bit silly since the crash, I think they handled the "big week" really well, even though there were a few obviously missing villagers, everyone should have been involved somehow on the day, because you can bet your life if there was a helicopter crash outside my house I'd go out (and gawk) and see what I could do to help.

A few of the storylines I couldn't care less about at the moment include:
Alisha (will she wont she move to portugal, I can't stand the long wistful looks to the side)
Aaron (looking like a fool every time someone mentions Katy's name)
Jimmy (and the ridiculous house situation)
Emma and James (appear to be married again. wat.)

I thought it quite funny the way Jimmys eyes lit up when he realised how much "Hunter" was making for his hours as an escort :D

Poor Lawrence, Im sick of bad things happening to him, he's so lovely.

Robert just seems way too obvious and how lucky he returned also tonight so I don't think it is him

Felt the same apparently he is a con artist but his back story will be interesting if it comes out.

We never know Robert may kill him

I'd prefer if it wasn't Robert, but I think it is because now he has Laurence weakened and looking to him for help. I can't think who else it might be.

I know Robert does have very occasional moments where he shows a better side to his character. The night he was in the jeep with Andy, at the edge of the cliff, where he basically said, 'right, do it, we'll go together', was one of the most amazing, dramatic scenes, that, in my opinion, Emmerdale carries off like no other soap.

    Agreed.

Although, I don't want Alicia to leave. I think she, David and Jakey are such a sweet and lovely family, who have been through so much together, and each of them, IMO, play their parts brilliantly.

As for James, Emma etc, completely agree, couldn't care less, whatever :pac:

I do think it hit a high with the crash scenes, and who can forget the scenes of Cain rescuing the little fellow, heart stopping stuff. Then, nothing...

  • Registered Users Posts: 86,756 ✭✭✭✭JP Liz V1

Yes where is little Kyle? We need scenes of him and Cain

Alicia just leaving David, Eric and Leyla to go Portugal to run a bar is a bad exit for her and it means pervert Lachlan wins

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,958 ✭✭✭Radio5

Kyle is gone to Emmerdale Super Childcare facility which is so wonderful that no child ever wants to leave it and return to be with their family. But don't worry he's not alone! Jack, Leo, Arthur, Moses, Noah, Samson and the Hope twins are all there. April and Sarah seem to have escaped.

Agree re Lawrence scenes. Really well done by the actor. It is so looking like a set up by Robert, maybe it's someone else, like Donnie (Chrissy's ex)? He has reason to angry at the Whites and presumable knows Lawrence's history.

The Jimmy house story is beyond stupid. I don't even think it's legally possible for him to sell the house without Nicola's written consent. It wouldn't be in Ireland whatever about the UK.

When Andy phoned Aaron's mobile, did it not have go to voicemail after a while? Would Andy not have recognised Aaron's voice then ? If it didn't got to voicemail cos he left it ring out only a short time, how did Aaron know Andy wouldn't ring it again later and find out whose number it was ?

Just a few accomodation queries, Is Andy still living with Andy and Victoria in Betty's old place?

Are Vanessa and Leyla in Katy's house?

    Where does Rodney live?

As far as I know yes, Andy is still in Victoria's house, and Vanessa and Leyla are in Katy's (Andy's now I presume) house

Rodders lives with Bob and Brenda I think? Am open to correction on all of this.

Is it just me or was that storyline with Jimmy unbelievable ?

Would the Police not have to call out? Question Jimmy? I thought it was a bit mad to be honest.

Robert :( Should have known he set it all up, wish he hadn't though .

I just don't get that entire episode tbh, complete ridiculousness from start to finish. Jimmy's being the most head scratching.:confused:

Bernice should jump at the opportunity to be with Lawrence, I know I would, rich older man, random "lets go to Australia", only an idiot wouldn't jump at that :D

Yes I was disappointed in Robert also, but he's definitely living on borrowed time now, I knew it during the last scene when he was outside the door, and the look on his face when he sat in the chair Lawrence had vacated, he's thinking he's back in now but (THANKFULLY) his time at the top is most certainly coming to an end (IMO!)

Is Connor an ex of Robert and also was Robert jealous of Andy and Aaron out for a few beers :p

Lawrence should hire a PI maybe Harriet to investigate Connor

Not only you.. Totally bonkers story with that random lady dying and then the old letch ("Hunter" ffs) examining her jewellery . We thought Fair City was bad for daft storylines

Yeah, what was with that copper? I wouldn't have been surprised if the two of them were more of Roberts friends playing dress-up. (Until they actually brought Lawrence to the station) He just seemed to have Lawrence already judged, juried and executed in his head.

    1. If you thought that Ross had truly moved on from his altercation with Pete that nearly left him dead, then think again. He most definitely has revenge in mind and we will soon see that take shape which could have life changing consequences for his whole family…

    2. Despite warnings from loved ones, a former couple that caused themselves and those around them a lot of pain decide to reunite. But could there be further misery in store?

    3. One local who has upset a lot of people could be about to pay the price for their actions in a surprise twist that will leave the village reeling.

    4. Don’t expect Eric to be on the road to recovery any time soon. As he continues to struggle with losing Val, his behaviour is set to cause more concern than ever. Meanwhile, we will see an emotional exit for Alicia but how will her departure affect David as he tries to be there for his dad?

    5. Andy is determined to find out what truly happened to his beloved Katie and, with Aaron’s number being on the phone bill, it can only be a matter of time before the pieces come together. And, when they do, prepare for the mother of all payoffs. This story has been building for over a year and the results are worth the wait…

    6. As Vanessa goes into labour, Kirin is there for her and their spark is still clear. But, accepting that it’s over, Kirin begins to see Belle in a new light. As a relationship blossoms, where does his heart really lie? And is someone going to get hurt?

    7. We saw Cain save Kyle’s life in the helicopter disaster and don’t expect their link to be forgotten. Can anyone persuade Cain to start to get to know his son?

    8. Jimmy and Rodney end up in a really unexpected situation – and they end up tempted to break the law. That worked out well for Bob, brenda, Carly and Val.

    9. Speaking of Bob, are his feelings for Harriet purely platonic? Or might Ashley and Brenda have something to worry about?

    10. Finally, Paddy has been searching for a new love for Marlon and his efforts could be about to bear fruit. Can Marlon finally move on from his broken marriage to Laurel?

The Lawrence stitch up was worse. Done and dusted in an episode with Lawrence not all that concerned as to why a complete stranger did this. A phone call relayed to him from Robert, yes, Robert, saying that all charges are dropped, and Lawrence is happy as a pig in sh1t! That was a comedy episode last night.
