Well maybe not that strange really given how upset he is about her shouting their private business all over the pub. And as Lawrence pointed out, she's been taking and spending his money for years, not least on the less than wonderful men in her life. No wonder he is sick of them all.

I haven't seen this for a few months- is the other daughter Lawrence's 'real' daughter, and what happened to reveal he wasn't actually Chrissy's dad?

Have liked Emmerdale in the past - there have been some very good storylines. Was happy they eventually won Soap of the Year, even though I thought it should have won it long before this. Not really deserved this year, as Coronation Street was streets ahead of it - pun
intended! Was it a coincidence that the new producer is ex-Hollyoaks? Are these things political? Or am I seeing conspiracies where there are none??

Lawrence is Chrissie's dad and also dad to an as yet unseen 2nd daughter, (who is mentioned only when they go and stay at her house every now and again).

The 'reveal' was that Lawrence had an affair with Ronnie many years ago. Chrissie found their old letters, got the wrong end of the stick and presumed Ronnie had an affair with her mother. She believed this was the reason for her dad's hostility to Ronnie. Eventually she found out the truth and in true soap style, it all was announced in the pub and Chrissie kept asking him 'are you gay?' in front of everyone.

I'm beyond devastated we have to through these scenes with Belle again.
So i'm guessing there will be some sort of attempted baby abduction in the future...

Agreed. Getting more farcical as it goes on.

Emmerdale tried to do the lock,stock and two smoking barrels with the camera when Ramesh lost the poker game. Think they may have done similar with Hollyoaks years ago with a similar storyline

The poker storyline was ridiculous. Pierce just happens to hear about a poker game and join in. Do the others even know him properly.
It was so obvious from the start what was going to happen. Sloppy writing.
