Alright brooding corner...long time no brood!!

Let's start off with a rough outlook of Jan 2011 so far shall we!!

    • All my money stolen on new years eve just as I arrived in Dublin
    • Left broke all week
    • Hairdryer went on fire and burned me
    • Left without hairdryer now
    • Got the cold
    • Got a kidney infection
    • Sneezing non-stop
    • General feeling like crappiness
    • Long bus journey home soon to be done with no doubt other sick people/drunks on the bus getting sick like last time
    • Oh and there is meant to be load of snow and such landed at home so I'll probably have to walk for over half an hour in ice and snow with massive bags with me:mad:

FCUK you 2011....a plain and simple FCUK YOU :mad::mad::mad::mad:

    How come?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,762 ✭✭✭✭stupidusername

Got a letter from Social Welfare saying I'm not entitled to illness benefit, and I'm pretty sure that's all I'm getting from them. So that's €1356 I'm out!

    :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

and then to top it all off, my doctor prescribed me Zirtek when this is the one I was on originally and it's stopped working!!!!!!!!!

Yeah. That will do it. A$$hats.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,746 ✭✭✭✭FewFew

That's an angry panda. I always had you pictured as more of a fox.

That sucks! Any way to appeal? And surely the doctor should realise if the Zirtek didn't work first time it won't work again.. right?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,762 ✭✭✭✭stupidusername

She should realise this yes! and if it wasn't in my file, I'm pretty sure I said it again today that it stopped working!

    €1356!

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,746 ✭✭✭✭FewFew

    What does illness benefit do?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,762 ✭✭✭✭stupidusername

It doesn't do anything. it's a payment you get when you can't work due to illness, when you've stamps built up. I don't have enough built up as I was in college.

Ah right, I thought they were trying to say you didn't have a broken ankle (which is what I suspected all along, ever since your first beer appearance withouth a comical giant cast!)

You could say that. I will never understand why people need to make good things so goddam complicated!

Because they are secretly insecure about how the way things are going and may be afraid of losing the good thing and thus freak out a bit.

Or maybe things have slowed down a pace and they bit bored and worried about that.

Sometimes it takes you to just sit back and be like...ya know what. Forget all about this stupid row and let's just get back to normal and feicin head out/do something/shag.

    :pac:

Does that advice still apply if you replace the word "row" with "breakup"?

I'm thinking something that inflicts a decent amount of pain, without killing or harming the handsomeness. :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,869 ✭✭✭Futurecrook

    Yes please ;)

Yay! Inflicting pain on others to make a select few happy. This is the life.

Hope you're okay though. Breakups are rubbish.

I went out with a girl who liked to smash plates when in a rage.

Once bought her a set of plates as an apology. Was not amused. :pac:

Hugs and sympathy though, it sucks balls.
