Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Respond to United dropping points to Fulham. I thought that was fairly obvious?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,725 ✭✭✭✭Boggles

Will go for a tight draw 1-1. Torres and Barry.

wit this being a great weekend for irish sport, maybe some of the irish luck will shine down on martin o'neill!

i think thats the only chance villa have tbh.....i think itll be 2-0 to pool!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,435 ✭✭✭✭redout

So if Pool fail to win today have they blown it or will they get another chance ? Hiddink hinted Chelsea could have blown it yesterday after their loss.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,677 ✭✭✭✭Princess Consuela Bananahammock

The question will then be asked: how many chances do Liverpool need? If they don't win today, I'm of the opinion that don't deserve to by champions, becaue these are the games champions need to win.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

whoever wins the league deserves it. Simple as that.

Christ almighty why did we have to have this fixture now, it's the last thing Villa need tbh especially after Pool stuffing United only last week.

I'm not confident at all but you can never write off O'Neill. I'd take a point and run tbh.

Things are going that well for Liverpool at the moment that I can see Villa getting a result :(

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Liverpool are crap, Lucas + Dossena not FTW, Yossi smells etc. :p

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,219 ✭✭✭invincibleirish

MON will revert hopefully back to 451, the crowd and pressure will be on Pool to get in front early. If Villa can avoid conceding an early goal then i'm confident of Villa picking up a point at least.

I'm glad this is an away fixture for the villa. With luck Liverpool might feel more pressure to attack after yesterdays result. I think this is the type of game that suits us compared to the type of game which has resulted in our poor results of late.

I am not sure if you mean that going to Anfield needing a win suits Villa but Villa needing the win to keep up with Villa certainly suits Liverpool at home..

Not that I consider Villa in anywhere near the same bracket but Liverpool's only real shortcoming this season has been in relegation fodder coming to Anfield being more than happy to put 10 behind the ball and settle for a draw.

Liverpool should have enough about them to beat a Villa team that badly need a win at Anfield. Not sure that they will though :(

hope liverpool destroy them. can't see anything else tbh.
torres on form, at home, nobody needs resting. all out for blood.

benayoun is back now isn't he? wouldn't mind seeing him play, before he got injured he was running riot.

i'm reading on other forums that Xabi still isn't fully fit and will be on the bench

    Team in -

Reina, Arbeloa, Skrtel, Carragher, Aurelio, Alonso, Mascherano, Gerrard, Riera, Kuyt, Torres. Subs: Cavalieri, Hyypia, Agger, Ngog, El Zhar, Dossena, Lucas.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,910 ✭✭✭✭whatawaster

    Reina

    Arbeloa
    Carra
    Skrtel
    Aurelio

    Alonso
    Mascherano
    Gerrard

    Riera
    Kuyt
    Torres

Subs: Cavalieri, Hyppia, Agger, N'gog, El Zhar, Dossena, Lucas

So Xabi is back, good news.

Would have played Dossena instead of Riera tbh. I wonder is Babel injured.

So you think that Liverpool on an all out attack will be good for Villa?
I think that this is exactly what will happen but i'd be surprised to hear this opinion from many villa fans.
It's been wokling pretty well for Liverpool lately,it's not as if there having trouble scoring goals.

Disappointed I did not get to the game but the money I get from working will pay for the rest of the games for the season.

And nice to see as I walk through the door Dirk smashing that one in.
