I hope so as I found the animation in it to be abit stiff at times.

Can't really see it happening during the next gen, but perhaps for the gen after is my prediction...
The animation in Degeneration was quite pants in places, kind of stunk of being hand animated rather than done using mocap

There's a good 360 vs PS3 face off article on Eurogamer for Resi5. While the gameplay and cutscenes are both done by the game's engine, there's a significant drop in detail during gameplay.
