Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

nope, just a software issue, this should help

    http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=307545

or if not, worst case scenario is you reinstall it.

    Thanks Phill,

Sorry....but I didn't get an disks with the laptop. I know there is a recovery partition on one of the HDD, how do I get to it or will it work if I just insert a neighbours xp disk to access the recovery console. ?

Hope that wasn't a completely stupid question. lol

I've found recovery disks i must have made when I got the laptop, don't even remember making them  .......but when I select "R" for Standard PC Recovery Options, I still get the blue screen with msg.

Does this mean I have to select "F" to format the hard drive and reinstall factory settings. :(

But is it the same msg?

Different msg each time tends to indicate a problem with memory  which IMHO can also cause rubish to be written to the HDD so if it is a memory problem you sometimes need to reinstall when you've fixed the mem issue.:mad::mad:

Do a test with Windows Memory Test, free download http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp just to rule out any memory issues.
