    Very persistent aren't they!

"In Texas, a state legislator wants the ironically-named Institute for Creation Research to be able to grant a Masters degree in science. In fact, the bill submitted to the Texas congress would make it legal for any private group calling themselves educational to be able to grant advanced degrees in science. So, now's your chance: that lack of a PhD in Astrology and Alchemy won't hold you back any longer."

This is probably another non-story as it's been tried before, and failed. Just thought I'd pop it up here anyway, to anger the scientists!

They're *obsessed* with science... except to the point that they would actually conduct some. :pac:

If you fire both of your pistols straight up into the air, each bullet weighs 10g and leaves the barrel and 1000fps, at what time will the bullets reach the height that they started?

Assumption: If planes can fly, God exists.

    Hypothesis: Planes can fly.

Methods: Carefully designed study to record the flying habits of planes.

Results: Several complicated graphs and (preferably incomprehensible) mathematical equations. Also, a photograph of a plane in the air.

Conclusion: Planes fly, therefore, GOD EXISTS! EVOLUTION IS A LIE!!!!!!!!

And just because they can't operate in Texas, doesn't mean they can't confer advanced degrees by mail! You too can get your M.Sc. in creation science [sic] - just send 12 tokens and $14000 to http://www.icr.edu/home/

Ah, it'll never fly. They pass that then what's to stop just anyone setting up some half-assed degree mill?

Isn't that EXACTLY what the Institute for Creation Research is trying to do?
