The above link is a political compass test. Just for fun why dont people take it and post up their results.

    I got the following

    Economic Left/Right: -7.88
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.23

I think it means I am a Commie but I am not too sure:pac::pac:

A bit daft really that this thing puts me roughly in Ghandi's lap. I'm a firm believer in justified use of reasonable force and that ranges from a Garda using his baton if needs be from the UN or NATO stages peace enforcement operations.

I think if you're not religious or a racist it makes you a hell of a lot more left than you really are!

Pretty much the same every time I take it.

I was going to take this test again, but stopped at the first question - the result is going to say more about the views of the people who set it than my own.

But in reality I would consider myself centre, not left, and much much more socially libertarian. It's a flawed test, though better than most.

Can't say I'm really surprised, although I would have thought my views on religion and the military would make me slightly more authoritative.

I would consider myself a little more libertarian and but a little less left, in an ideal world.

Theres nobody on he example spectrum they give that's close to me. Would someone with a better understanding of this give me an example of someone in politics with a similar outlook?

not too far off i'd say. I'm maybe not as far to the left as it would suggest, but not bad for a one size fits all kind of test.

Looking at donegalfella's result, it seems spot on.

It seems to be geared towards Americans, so I think it is a tad inaccurate.
What's good for the most successful corporations is always, ultimately, good for all of us.
    Oh come on!!!!!

    Economic Left/Right: 0.00
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.82
    That is so wrong.

    I agree with this

and I agree with this. Shift all results a little to the right and upwards to get an Irish interpretation. Here's my result for what it's worth:

    Economic Left/Right: -6.12
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.82

True enough. If you oppose the death penalty you are uber liberal in their eyes.

Looks like I'm the biggest lefty here anyway.

Yerrah, tis an American test like so I'd say tis skewed so you'll come up more left than you actually are (in a European sense).
