Right well, i have a m4a1, i love it but its not the best (internaly). Its also my birthday soon and i was looking at maybe buying a sniper?

So question is, should i spend my birthday money on upgradeing & fixing my M4A1 or buying a sniper, coz they look pretty fun. if you have one, are they any good and would you use them in a skermish etc?

Btw the sniper i'm getting is the well L96 off eirsoft: http://www.eirsoft.ie/store/product_info.php?products_id=216
    Is this any good?

    Cheers

    Rob

Look for old threads or use search, this has been done to death.

AEG's and Springers more or less have the same accuracy (when firing on semi auto). It depends wheter you want to go around firing one shot or fire 5 at a time. what brand is your m4?

theres nothinng wrong with the internals on Dboys M4's, any way if you still wish to get a sniper rifle try sometihng along the lines of an M14 best of both worlds...

alot of people buy snipers and end up getting rid of them. snipping is not for everyone alot of the time it involve lying in wait while everyone else is off having fun......but when the wait is up it can be good!!

i would occasionally snipe and use an m14 id be more of and offensive sniper to a defensive.

If I was looking to buy a sniper, I'd probably buy Neil, aka 'Cheeky Monkey'. Fantastic value for money. He asks for nothing, doesn't really socialise, and fits in a large holdall with room to spare for his kit and your kit. For a full day's gaming he'll run on nothing more than a few cups of tea and some rubbish from a nearby Centra. Downside is that he has no transport of his own and sends a lot of needy txts.

I haven't had much experience with the others; some of them can be expensive, because you'll need to stump for all sort of extras, ego boosting, and even pay off the wife/husband and kids; if you're buying the main bread-winner of the family, you'll basically end up paying alimony and that adds up. Could be worth it if they're the sniper you want.

At least if you get a really good sniper, you won't need to pay for upgrades, their ego will see to that. And make sure they have decent kit and know how to use it, you'll get allsorts claiming to be snipers but only owning a P90 and an MP5, and not really sure which is which. Don'y waste your money on them.

Sniping when done right is brilliant, but you have to be a certain type of player imo.

Sniping can be very boring, lieing down down nothing for ages just to take maybe one shot which if taken wrongly ends up in you being oblitered by a SAW or such while you have a sniper rifle to defend yourself with.

It's a whole different gaming style to assault and you'll fire less shots and probably see less action, but a good sniper is invaluable to a team.

If your new to airsoft continue in your present role as a rifleman, if you want to try sniping use your m4 and be sneaky, find a good spot and take out the enemy, if you enjoy it after a while buy a sniper rifle and develop what you've already learned.

I take it then that you haven't bothered to bring it to <snip>attention? maybe it would be an idea to at least let him know before you go online and tarnish his name. Warranty or not, if he gave you a faulty gun, then he WILL rectify the problem.

    :)
