Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Quick question...

The rubber eyepiece/eyecup on my 350d has come loose for the second time - one of the plastic arms that holds it in place has snapped. I lost the same piece before, and replaced it for purely cosmetic reasons. Now rather than shell out another 12.50 for this piece of plastic, I was wodnering if I could just fix it in place with some super glue? :o I don't intend to replace it with an extension or anything...

When I had a 400D I did exactly that. Glue it down and forget about it :)

you could... the super glue may damage the plastic slightly if you use too much. Wait a good while before you put your eye to the eye piece you don't want to get stuck to it. ;)

I wish I could pay out & say that this would not happen if you bought a Nikon, but they suffer from the same problem.

If it were me I would avoid Super Glue as it does tend to affect some plastics in unsightly ways & it rather permanent. Instead I would use some contact adhesive or silicon rubber, either of which should give enough grip to hold the eyepiece on but could be removed if necessary.
