RTE news rip off stargate?

Any one else think the new rte news starting thing looks like a stargate been opened? its a big circle that comes crashing together at centre with big vortex coming out to display the rte news logo.

But the stargate worm hole was a blanent rip off of a Dr Who effect ...

really? ive never watched dr. who so wouldnt know. well whatever about sci fi programs ripping off each other, i think its funny a mainstream news program does it too intentionally or not.

The whole stargate thing is just copied from buck rogers anyway.

I was going to post this myself. It really looks like they have ripped it off. I think the proof was when I was watching the news last week with someone who has only seen Stargate once or twice and when I made a comment about the news being a copied from Stargate they completely agreed and though it was very obvious!
