Bloody hell, nobody told me that The Lore Of Running was of a similar size to the phone book...

4 games to go, 4 wins = back to the Championship. We need some SERIOUS investment into our squad if we're going to get back to the Premiership. Very few of these players, going on form and performances since Christmas, are capable of playing in the Championship. We will need practically an entire new back four, probably two forwards and a couple of midfielders just to have a chance of fighting towards the play-offs. Next season won't be easy if we're in the Championship, it'll be even harder if we're still in league one.

Dropping anymore points will be disastrous, I always expected us to mess it up when we were clear at the top, but not going up this season could see us fighting relegation next season.

Can't wait till the season ends and we can wave goodbye to billy big time Beckford and watch his 'career' crumble. Petulant so and so.

Be careful what you wish for RQ, without Beckford Leeds would have gone to the wall by now.

That said though the championship will be piss poor next year if Forest go up with Newcastle and West Brom so if Leeds got a half decent team together they could push for the playoffs.

Not a bad season all in all for my favourite team Blackburn, only a couple of defeats at home all season, if they could travel they'd be up with Everton.
Pity the heads went once Samba got sent off against Villa in the Carling cup, otherwise things could have been so much different.

Rubbish. Any player with pace would score in league one. His first touch is woeful, he berates his team mates, does little on the pitch and has only scored 3 goals from open play since Christmas. This is league one, look how high up that table Ian Harte is? :pac:

When he FINALLY got dropped from the squad we put in a good TEAM performance and both our forwards score.

Plus, I hate him, always have. :D

And alot of it is as interesting as a phone book. Not all, the odd chapter is worth reading. Its very marathon/ ultra based - yawn.
I'm reading Daniels' Running Formula atm, very good.

Have to agree with you about Beckford, and when it became clear he would'nt sign a new contract with Leeds I don't think there was a massive rush from other clubs to sign him.

Massive, isn't it? Best to dip in once in a while rather than trying to have a read through!

I think his attitude puts a lot of clubs off. As far as I know, the only club who've put in a firm bid are Newcastle, they're not going to be interested this summer. He's not Premiership material and with his record during the second half of the season they won't be queuing up for him.

He was critical of the club shortly after he signed and wanted away when we got relegated from the Chamionship, has handed in TWO transfer requests six months apart. He's not interested and that has been abundantly clear since January.

On the upside, Gradel seems to have sorted his little attitude problem out(well he hasn't attacked any of his own players on the pitch again), he's been very good over the last couple of games. Becchio was on form before he got knocked out on the pitch and it looks like he didn't lose his touch. Norwich are having a wobble now, dare we dream of overtaking THEM?

Might try and check that out too... I'm reading (or at least attempting to read!) Lore of Running because my doctor in UCD suggested it, plus having postgrad borrowing capacity means I have it for a good while. If there's useful marathon stuff in there that might help me go sub-4 this year in Dublin then I'll be very happy :)

Arsenals title hopes over now. I was hoping they'd finish second and leave that other team in red down in third place having to qualify for the champions league. That'd have made me happy.:pac:

For this reason, I'm happy that Spurs won tonight. :pac:

Also, seeing Arsene Wenger pissed off is so satisfying :D

The only thing we (Arsenal) have to play for now is pushing Utd down to 3rd... It's been a reasonably exciting season but yet again we're left wondering what would have happened if we didn't have the most injury prone first 11 in the league...

    Gallas, Fabregas, Song, Arshavin

    (a 90 minute Van Persie  and a 90 minute Vermaelen )

    Enjoy partying like it's 1999.

Not disputing your injuries, just stating we weren't at full strength also.

Nice to win a derby...rare enough too. Glad we still have something to play for this season...

It will be tough to get ahead of Citeh, we might have to do you lot a favour.

Some tough games coming up, if only we had Djourou, Gibbs and Ramsay fit :D
    I'll stop now.

It's usually Spurs with the (really long) queues at the Physio's door...
Yeah, a win for you lot against Citeh will do nicely. Only Chelsea and Yanited next for us...
