I'm going on a working holiday to California next week. I've worked it that I can fly home from Las Vegas; giving me a one full day and night.

Who has been? what do I absolutly have to cram in to that day. More than likely travelling alone. I do want to play Texas Hold'em without breaking the bank as well.

Make sure you stay in a hotel on the Strip, either the Centre or Southern End.
Cheapest game of poker on the strip is MGM Grand where the buy-in for $1/$2 is just $50. Nice place to play as well, you can see lions from the table.

    Must Dos.
Go to as many of the hotels/casinos as possible to have a look round.
Throw $10 into a couple of slot machines, you never know.
Definitely see the Fountain Show at the Bellagio (every 15 minutes in the evening).
Have a gawp at the gondola rides in the Venetian.
Have a look in the Wynn (prob the most luxorious of the hotels on the Strip).
