I dont know if this is the right place but this problem has me stumped

I have more then on P.C in house one of which is wirless connected to the modem the other hardwired and on both these the upload speed is really low the on came back with a speed of 6kbps the other does not even bother to come back with a speed (speed testes were done on speedtest.net)
both these computers is running xp pro

on my laptop which is wifi and running vista I get an upload speed of 230kbps even when I hard wire it to the router.

has any one come across this at all?

any help would be appreciated
