As someone who is not familliar with Mullingar, and as someone looking to attend an event there in the coming week, I am having difficulty finding accomodation in the town.

Can someone please give me a list of towns within a 10 km radius of Mullingar which I can use to search for accomodation as all the online maps I have come accross are pretty crap.

Can you not afford a hotel in town? There's loads of them.. The
Greville and the Newbury spring to mind since they're directly in the centre. There's also a little B&B above Kerrigans, and a couple more in town, too-- just need to check the Market Square visitor's centre or get someone else to for you.

Okay as you may have guessed from google maps there are no towns in close proximity....

You never told us exactly what you'd prefer but here goes anyway....

These are the hotels of Mullingar:

    Newbury http://www.thenewburyhotel.com/
    Park Hotel www.MullingarPark-Hotel.com
    Annebrook http://www.annebrook.ie/
    Greville www.grevillearmshotel.ie
    Austin Friars - (044) 9345777
Bloomfield (A couple of miles out of town, with a majestic view of Lough Ennell ) http://www.bloomfieldhousehotel.ie/

    For B+B's try:

    Lake View B+B - (044) 9348995
    Hill Top - http://www.hilltopcountryhouse.com/
    Lough Owel Lodge - (044) 9348714
Mornington House - http://www.mornington.ie/breaks.htm (My nan used to work here so it gets a firm thumbs up)

    More B+B's here http://www.goldenpages.ie/category_Bed+&+Breakfast_Mullingar-1.html

Now if you can't get something from that well then there must be something big going on in the area that I'm missing out on.

That's my good deed for the day, hopefully you get something sorted and post back to let us know how you get on.

ps. When your booking make sure you ask firmly and assertively for the best price that they can give and re-iterate it until you are satisfied. It works wonders sometimes.
