Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Elaborate goal celebrations are stupid. Just do a fistpump, be happy with your teammates for a moment, get back in your own half and get on with it. All these silly dances and kissing their rings and cradling their imaginative babies and whatnot make me cringe. Idiots.

Edit: For 'big' goals I'd find it reasonable enough to do the knee slide towards your fans and celebrate with them for a moment. Make sure the grass is wet tho :)

    I bet your a blast at partys.

Timmy Cahill's boxing the flag is a cracker.

How about when the goal celebration is bigger and more important than the game itself,

Liverpool fans please help me out?(against who and when)

A good few years back when Fowler scored and show the t-shirt supporting the little known ,year old dockers striker in Liverpool.
Highlighted the strike and was no little part in getting national coverage and support for the strikers and their long suffering families , helped bring a successful end to their conflict.
Although I'm Utd through and through , my personal opinion and respect for him was great increased that night.

Totti taking the camera from the cameraman in the Rome derby and then filming the crowd go crazy.

As a kid I remember being determined to replicate Ronnie Whelan's celebration after his goal against Russia in Euro '88. Unfortunately being deployed as a defender and not being the most skillful when it came to controlling long shots or volleys meant that I never did. I still love watching the goal though!

According to here it says he was playing in the Cup Winners Cup at the time so take your pick from here. It'll either be MyPa, FC Sion, SK Brann or Paris Saint-Germain. I remember the match and I've a funny feeling the t-shirt appeared against SK Brann but I'm not 100% certain.

It was for the greater good.

The Giggs celebration was great too.

Its not groundbreaking or pure inventiveness but when Lampard scored the penalty against Liverpool last season pointing to the sky with tears rolling out of his eyes I have to admit I had a tear myself. That was the best way to ever celebrate a goal as far as I'm concerned.

Other than that Hernan Crespo years ago for Parma, ran off the pitch, took his jersey off, climbed the fence where the ultras were and threw his jersey in. How he wasn't banned for that I'll never know but pure emotion...

Pre-planned, I know, but I still f*cking love this one - closest you can get to revenge for the Giggs FA Cup goal :)
