Great to see Phil getting some action at last. He's such a strong character it's a pity to see him not getting more juicy storylines.
I think Zainab is playing a blinder - cant be easy to play the baddie all the time! She's a fantastic actress.

I mean locking your sister in a shed for the day is one thing but mutilating her arm with burns is a bit more extreme.

Poor lad is feiced in the head. Needed therapy years ago!!!
Will Phil send him to like boarding school or something because that would be one way of writing him out...?

I never saw that kind of cruelty coming from him...thought at most there'd be a storyline about him being confused because he liked boys or something along those lines. I also thought at first that Louise would be the bully.
Yeah boarding school sounds like an option...that way they can keep bringing him back when the show needs a baddie! I predict a lot of lying, firestarting,blackmailing and bodily harm in his future! Phil will be so proud!

Bit shocking really. Not in favour of kids being beaten like that but dont suppose there was anything else he could do. Thing is, which Ben may well be the "devil child" you say, that Louise kid has a very evil look about her. Think I'd trust Ben before I'd trust her!

Yes, I presume she got divorced. I found this:

Stella was dating Phil.. they managed to get to the wedding (not sure if they actually got married)

Anyway all the time they were dating, she was abusing Ben the same way he is to Louise. Stella wanted Ben to like her so she forced him and hurt him so he'd be too scared to say anything to Phil.

It came out at their wedding and the last we saw of Stella - she was on a roof with Phil and she jumped to her death

Stella was Phils ex-girlfriend. She was a loony.

At first Ben didn't like her and tried to break them up. Then Stella bullied him. She started putting hot spoons on the back of his hand, watching bullies beat him up. Locks him in closets, put water on his bed etc etc

When Phil found out, he chased her, and she jumped off a building.

There's going to be lots of fun when Lucas finds out...Wasn't sure how Ben was going to be written out but I've an idea now!

Ben should not be written out he is a budding character. the first child psycho in soapland. Long live Ben, He will grow up in this soap to hurt people in most horrible ways. The writers would be insane to kill him off anytime soon.

Although morally typecasting him for life as a loony tune would be wrong I still think the entertainment value would be there;) If he runs away and comes back years later as a tap dancing psycho with a penchant for female impersonation then maybe just maybe that would be a good shocker as a return for Ben the 'man'.

EastEnders character Ben Mitchell is hauled in front of a judge in the coming months for his recent savage attack on Lucas's son Jordan.

In the coming months, Ben faces a court case following his attack on Jordan (more below) and as you can see from my location pictures, mini-Mitchell now has a skinhead!

Not only that, but he looks like he has it in for his gran, Peggy. Note the evil.

Phil and Shirley escort Ben to the courthouse, while Ian and Jane also turn up to offer their support.

So is this Ben's exit storyline? Or is this just the beginning of his demise?

A show insider this afternoon told me: "Viewers will have to wait and see what the future holds for Ben, but things are certainly looking bleak for the young Mitchell. Are Ben's past actions finally catching up with him?"

A spokesperson, however, said: "We don't comment on future storylines."

During Friday evening's episode, Ben and Jordan were forced to settle their differences by working together on a car project in the Arches.

However, when Jordan branded Ben a "sap" and a "wimp" after trapping his finger, Ben saw red, pushed Jordan to the ground, grabbed a spanner and viciously warned Jordan: "You need slappin' down".

Despite not seeing the incident, Jordan's (eventually) found unconscious with a bloodied head during tomorrow evening's instalment, prompting Ben to confess his crime to Phil.

As Jordan lies in a coma on a life support machine, Lucas is on the warpath in the hope of getting to the bottom of his son's condition, while Phil tries his best to cover for Ben's actions.

Ben eventually comes clean and hands himself to the police, before asking Ian if he can move in with him.
