Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nah,that's just what she told Carol. I said from the off she was going to spend it on lipo/tummy tuck coz she thinks Martin doesn't find her attractive anymore.

I find Rebecca quite annoying even though I can't put my finger on why!

She looks the same though. Shouldn't she be thinner?

I felt sorry for Lauren, after she found out about Peter

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,883 ✭✭✭MelanieC

I felt sorry for Peter but that's probably because he's so aesthetically pleasing to me!

Wouldn't there have been text/call records on Lucy's phone to & from whoever she was going to meet that night?

Has Peter actually got better looking since he's been away ? Personally I wouldn't care if he was dealing coke to Bobby.

Speaking of Bobby, is that another new one? Wasn't he just replaced a short while ago?

Was he though? I mean, he was dealing cocaine to his own sister!

Peter has a very angelic face.

Ian's initial reaction was fine, understandable but Peter's explanation was understandable too. Ian Beale is a terrible father and his treatment of Peter at the end of last night's episode only proves what Peter was saying to him.

He has lost Lucy so you would think he would want Peter even more now plus Ian too has made many mistakes

On the face of things last night was a strong episode, but then I remember that none of it really makes sense and therefore like all soaps it was a load of mush. Saying that I probably enjoyed mush 'back in the day' when it was well written and acted e.g. The Mitchell brothers and their crime capers.

When I watch things like EE now I spend more time focused on how much plot they've made up to suit today's agenda than an actual half plausible storyline for entertainment purposes. Not much imagination in these things nowadays it would seem. If EE wasn't EE would it be popular? I think not. Soaps owe a lot to their history and their goodwill time is running out imo.

Sonia is going to collapse with the hunger and my god Ian Beale's gut is massive

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 23,931 Mod ✭✭✭✭TICKLE_ME_ELMO

Ian Beale is a vile excuse for a human being. We knew this already but there's no questioning it now.

its all very predictable though! they have made up all these scenes of suspicious activity! i really think they dragged it out a little too long now. people are almost starting to forget who lucy was!

Not a chance of that happening between the photos ian keeps looking at and him going on about "my lucy"! You're right, way too dragged out

Eh, she only had it done a few days ago!

Anyway, I thought she looked fantastic in that black dress actually......

I actually think they've done the whole Lucy murder storyline very well. When I first heard it was going to be over ten months I thought no way would they be able to sustain it for that long & that we the viewers, would get bored of it but I have to say they've managed it - it doesn't feel too dragged out imo,it feels real & we still remember Lucy & care about her murder. I can't believe we're nearly at the reveal,it doesn't seem that long ago after all & all the twists they've been throwing in to put suspects in the frame have been unexpected & interesting. Cannot wait to finally find out the culprit in Feb! Hope it's someone off-the-wall!

Its quiet good how they are building it up to the reveal while introducing clues along the way.

does anyone have a realistic motive for offing Lucy?

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 23,931 Mod ✭✭✭✭TICKLE_ME_ELMO

I know it's all for the drama but the way everyone reacted to Peter giving Lucy coke was ridiculous.

It's so out of the blue they should be shocked and then maybe get angry. If that happened in real life with someone you never suspected of being involved with drugs you'd be so taken aback and you'd have so many questions you'd probably ask at least one or two before turfing them out and refusing to see them.

I double check and she is not on the list could be an error though very strange if she is not in the Christmas episode

Was away this week and missed most episodes so haven't read through the thread. Just wondered when the omnibus is on as it's not listed in the TV Guide. Anybody know? Thanks.

It's on Friday nights on BBC1. It's been like that a long time now.
I preferred when it was on Sunday; I used to have it on in the background, even if I'd already seen it.

If it turns out to be some non main character like Les or Aleks it will be lame and a big failure

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,348 ✭✭✭✭starlit

For all we know might have been the knock to the head she had from the table. She might had later repercussions of it but mostly likely something else happened to her as she was to be meeting someone, who that was we don't know and is likely to be the one that did it but based on evidence something happened to her.

    Aleks is pretty main imo

He won't be the killer though as there would be outrage from some of the public with a hard working immigrant turning out to be a murderer.

UKIP would have a field day;)

The Martin and Sonia stuff seems to random. Why bring him back just to break them up? Granted I was glad when they did because it felt very strange watching them being a couple. He looks way older than her, she still looks about the same as she did a billion years ago.

Poor sad beautiful Peter :( Stupid Lauren, even if he was importing the coke himself he's still a better option than her previous boyfriends.

Yeah,I thought Lauren was a tad overly sanctimonius. You'd think being an addict who almost died herself, she would have some understanding of how helpless & desperate Peter would've felt in that situation.

    I wish he wasn't leaving. :'(

She was an absolute cow i'm sure there were plenty of people who could have realistically done it
