    After 4 years of patiently trying the eircom line checker nearly once a month for our home phone line, today it has just said the magic words "Line suitable for broadband"

    Yippee!!!!!!!!

    Yep it's setup alright, the neighbours line was provisioned yesterday. Hoping ours to be done in the next few days.

    I would say call them, even if your exchange is enabled you may have difficulties getting the service (distance from the exchange, line damage etc.).

    Nothing is a given until you can see the google (or whatever) homepage.
