I have 20mb UPC broadband and a netgear router. I would like to put a password on the router but don't know how. Also which should I use, wep or wpa.

    WPA,

WPA-PSK is really easy to setup, just put in a passphrase and that will be the key to put in on your wireless devices.

In your address bar in internet explorer enter the address 194.168.0.1

Default username and password is admin and admin.

    Go to maintenance, set password.

Enter admin as old password and your new password.

Then click on setup, then wireless settings, security and wep passphrase. (and dont use "netgear" as your password, or the name of your house or address!!)
