    Hi,

    just wondering if someone can help me here - I'm trying to get my head around the basics of dynamic websites - php/mysql etc. Have a site hosted with letshost.ie and I'm going through a basic online tutorial.

    I've downloaded "MySQL adminstrator" and I need to log in to my site with it- I just don't know what I should use as the Hostname... can anyone tell me what it should be? As I said - i'm hosting with letshost.ie

    Sorry - I'm sure this is a fairly stupid question! Any help would be appreciated.

    Try localhost

    Your DB is likely to be on the same server (or virtual server) as the web server

    Edit: sorry that's if you are connecting through your php...

    Connecting remotely - try using your domain name
