Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, I will be travelling through Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia for a month and am wondering what people would recommend as a budget? not including hostels and taking into account that i'd prob be drinking every 3 nights or so!

Depending on how expensive your eating habits are, you should be able to live off of a minimum of about €10-15 per day for the days you're not out drinking - if you're going out for the night you could increase that by about €20. Most tourist attractions only charge a nominal fee, if anything at all.

It really depends on how extravagantly you plan to live - if money is a problem and you don't go nuts then you can easily get by with a small budget. Train tickets and accomodation will obviously be additional fees.

2 friends and I travelled to Eastern Europe 2yrs ago, we bought an interrailing ticket so most of our travelling expenses were prepaid. Stayed in all the cheapest hostels, drank about every second night, usually having a few before we went out. We ate one meal out every day, but stuck to the cheapest places, and went to supermarkets for other meals. We managed to do as many things as we could for free, but paid to see the things we really wanted to see. Got by on just a little over 800 euro, including hostels, for the whole trip, so it certainly can be done cheaply!:)
