Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi All,

I am just about to venture into the realm of mixing 120 film cameras with strobes, I have no experience of using flash. I tend to prefer natural light. So anyways, I have two decent flashes, SB28's and some umbrella adaptors and an ebay wireless sync kit. So I have a few queries left.

I looked at Lighting Stands, and the area is baffling. heights ranges etc. Ok if I was Seanie Fitz (Scumdog M) or Fingers Singleton (Smugdog M) I'd not worry and get Bogen all the way.

What is a halfway house light stand wise? or is it worth going the whole hog now since I plan to be at this a long long time?

I need something that can get the umbrellas up around 2.5 m high to get rembrant lighting effects.

On umbrella's generally, my take on reading loads of sites is the larger diameter the better. Is this the case?

Finally, On the great day I loose my Studio Virginty, All Strobes will be softened by umbrellas in this final scenario. Do I need to then worry about lens flare?
I am using in this planned shoot a Minolta Autocord TLR. I don't have a lens hood for same as the prices are nonsense for these (€35 -50)
